This unmissable hike takes you to the summit of Mont-Rouge where a breathtaking view is unveiled before you. The return walk is a gentle one along the ancient Bisse de Chervé.

The start of this itinerary is in Thyon. The hike starts on a wide path which then narrows to climb towards the Gouilles d'Essertze. At this point you can already see the Mont-Rouge, easily recognizable by its cross proudly overlooking the Rhone Valley. You can enjoy a rest, admire the breathtaking view of the Val d'Hérens or have a drink before starting the steep ascent to the Mont-Rouge. Once at the top, you can only be amazed by the exceptional 360 degree panoramic view that awaits you.
The descent begins in a fairly direct manner to the Restaurant les Chottes. You can then join the ancient Bisse de Chervé which leads you back to Thyon
