Gouilles d'Essertze

Natural site

With its flat areas and small natural pools, this place is steeped in a magic.

The Gouilles d'Essertze are located in the Val d'Hérens at 2300 metres above sea level. They are considered to be the highest peat moors in Europe. For the hiker, they are above all a privileged place to relax and enjoy on a well-deserved picnic break.
Enjoy the unspoilt nature, with alpine flora typical of this altitude, but also the presence of newts and tadpoles. Thank you in advance for respecting this place.
