Every Tuesday17:00 - 19:30
Friday17:00 - 19:30
Tuesday17:00 - 19:30

In winter, the Hérens cows take up residence in the village cattle sheds. From December to April, one of these sheds can be visited by both children and adults.

As a rule, all cows give birth to a calf. From then on, they are milked twice a day until April. In addition to this, the farmers care for them, feed them and groom them. During this visit, you can learn about all these steps. The most courageous among you can try their hand at milking, as it was done in the old days. The others can sample the milk fresh from the cows' udders.

A visit to the cheese seller is also organized. This is all followed by a tasting session on the farm where visitors can enjoy some local cheese and other local products.

The meeting point is at Nendaz Tourisme; then drive to the village of Basse-Nendaz. A guide accompanies you throughout the evening.
