From Thyon, you join the old Alpine track leading to the pastures of Combire and Meina.
These pastures, located at over 2000 metres above sea level, have been home to summering cattle for centuries. At the time, two mountain pastures shared the area and finally merged in 1982, after the joint construction of the new Chouribi cow shed.
Following this fusion, the former building of the Combire mountain pasture, now unused, was tastefully renovated and transformed into a charming restaurant: the restaurant des Chottes, the aim of your day's walk. Les Chottes means cow shed in local dialect.
Following in the ancestral footsteps of our herds, walk through our mountain pastures between forests and grasslands, discovering the alpine flora along a footpath easily accessible to all.
