The departure of this hike is in front of Veysonnaz Tourisme. The footpath begins after the parking spaces along the route de l'Ours, on the right as you go up the road. The walk through the forest is pleasant, despite the 800-metre climb. You pass by the Gouilly d'en Bas and the Gouilly d'en Haut, real havens of coolness and tranquillity in the heart of the forest. You then reach your destination in Thyon.

Just as pleasant, this itinerary is also appreciated in the opposite direction downhill, leaving from Thyon.

The Gouillys are part of the historical heritage of the Bourgeoisie of Sion, as is the Forêt de l'Ours. This ancient term means in French: petits étangs (little ponds).
