The funicular significantly improves pedestrian mobility by quickly connecting the centre of the resort to the Tracouet gondola departure station. It departs from the car park of the Hôtel Nendaz 4 Vallées, on the Plaine des Ecluses.

The facility, which is open free of charge all year round, consists of two independent inclined lifts, each capable of carrying 12 passengers over a distance of 55 metres.

The funicular is integrated into the resort's soft mobility concept with, in winter, five shuttle buses, of which four circulate around the resort.
