The educational path, via its 18 information posts, shows where the glacier was located at certain dates illustrating its retreat over the years. There are also numerous stories and information regarding this continuous metamorphosis and its effect on the fauna and flora.

Three loops all departing from the Saint-Laurent Cabin are proposed, three, six and seven km long with estimated walking times of 1h30, 2h30 and 3h30 respectively. The longest loop leads to the foot of the glacier.

This educational trail does not represent any particular technical difficulty. It is a high-altitude route and is therefore suitable only for good walkers. It is accessible from mid-July to the end of September, the dates vary depending on weather conditions and snow fall.
