Your trail begins along the flat 'Bisse du Milieu'. After a few hundred metres, perfect to get you warmed up, you notice to your right a photo point. From here you can admire the view of Nendaz as well as the Rhone Valley. Just before the picnic place, leave the bisse by crossing the small wooden bridge and follow the path that climbs into the forest.
At the crossing with the tarmac road, continue straight ahead along the 'pine cone path' (green signposts illustrated with a pine cone). The climb becomes steeper and steeper until you reach the road again. Then follow the 'bisse Vieux' towards Planchouet. This flat path, initially narrow, becomes wider and wider.

When you reach a farm, at the red sign indicating Sofleu, leave the bisse and follow the rather steep tarmac road which forks off to the right. As you climb this road through the mid-mountain chalets and the pastures, you can spot the Cleuson Dam in the distance. Follow this road until you reach the forest, which then goes downhill till you reach a cross. Just after this cross, follow a small root strewn footpath climbing steeply into the forest. You should be following the yellow markings.
You then come to a wide gravel track with, on your right, a picnic area. Follow the 'Pine Cone Path' , then, after the information post concerning the inhabitants of the forest, follow the gravel track until you reach the ski slope.

Your descent starts on a wide path which gradually becomes a narrow dirt path. After a few metres along a gravel track, follow the yellow signposts for Nendaz. The final descent continues on a rather steep path.
