Nuria, 9 years old, lives with her grandfather in a small suburban house with a little garden. When her snack box is stolen by a gang of resourceful ants, she decides to set off in search of it. Her snack box is more important to her than anything else, having been given to her by her mother. This “journey” and her encounter with Odette, the spider, will lead her to look at the world around her in a different way, and particularly at all those little creatures that frighten, repel and disturb her.

This show was inspired by the desire to question our relationship with the world of insects and nature. Over the centuries, human beings have radically changed their way of life, gradually dissociating themselves from their environment. We feel separated from nature, regarding it as a pleasant or dangerous environment; our relationship with living things is often built on fear and ignorance. Cut off from our perception, our ability to apprehend it diminishes. In these uncertain times, when the threat of climate change is generating anxiety, particularly among the younger generation, this show is a modest attempt to take a soft, humorous look at all our contradictions in the world around us.
